How long have you been pole dancing at Venus Pole Fitness? Since January 2013

Have you undergone a transformation (physically, emotionally or both!)? 
Yes! Both physically and emotionally.
Physically-Boot camp classes!!! My body has changes tremendously – arms, tush, and OMG my abs!!
Emotionally – I definitely became more confident! Pole classes exposed a passion in me that I did not know existed. I feel more graceful, expressive, sexual, confident! But most of all – I have found something that makes me smile every day and makes my life more exciting and fun!

Did you have any previous dance or fitness training before starting pole?

What made you decide to take classes? 
I was on an Aerial silks retreat in Costa Rica and I met a pole performer. She was the most intriguing person I have ever met. So fit, strong and sexy! I had the pleasure of watching her practice her routine and also perform for us. Every time I looked at her , I went ” OMG! I want to do that!!!!”
I even promised that I will get better then her and demonstrate one day~ …( this is still to come…)
So, I came back home and googled Pole Fitness. Venus popped up. I signed up for the first Intro to Pole class and I fell in love. I have been in the studio since then!

Favorite class and why? 
A few:
Vertical Vixens – love to be upside down and do tricks
Spin and climb – It’s so fun to spin!
Sexy pole flow – like the choreographed dance part of it
Pole burn – sexy workout, what else can you say!!

What is it that you LOVE about our studio? 
the atmosphere , the girls, Diane.
everyone is so welcoming and positive
we can wear booty shorts and sexy clothes
Boot Camp – conditioning my body for all the pull ups!

Platforms, barefeet or legwarmers? 
Love the platforms for spin and pole flow classes.
Legwarmers are definitely a Yes! they make my legs look sexy an much longer :)!
I will go barefoot thought for all the inversions and even some of the climbs.

What are you currently working on technically? 
Inversions, also working on improving Spiderman, air straddle from a climb, and splits.

What are you working on artistically? 
Trying to be graceful and have better lines, also keep my feet pointed

Do you have a favorite song to pole dance to? 
“The Girl with One Eye” – Florence and the Machine

Final Question: Any inspirational advice you would like to share with new polers? 
Love it! Work through the pole burns and the million bruises. They go away.
You get stronger and learn to control your body!!
