The chaos of an airport is a crazy thing for a simple gal like myself.
People on a mad dash to make their flights. Panicked travelers hovering over outlets so their electronics don’t power off. When I travel I always feel like I’ve morphed into a whole new world.
I had all 3 kids in tow with me for a trip to Florida, so I had no choice but to make sure I was supremely organized. We were headed to Summit for my daughters Cheerleading Competition in Disney World (Summit is like the Superbowl for cheerleading 🙂
I used to get all panicky about eating on the go. Wondering if I could continue to eat clean and not fall into a trap of eating whatever was available. Now it’s like second nature and, because my Goddess Body is on auto-pilot, I’m pretty aware of what I need to bring and what can stay at home.
Often my Goddesses freak out when they know they will be going on vacation. I get loads of questions that range from…“What can I eat?”, “How will I stick to my plan?”, “What will I do for exercise?”, “How can I pass up the alcohol?”.
Let me start with 5 food items you need to bring from home if you want to be ahead of the Goddess-Body-Game. A well stocked bag or backpack will keep you eating every 3-4 hours so you don’t hit a hunger strike and reach for the nearest package of chips or crackers.
These are all snacks that I have on hand a home and will take with me on-the-go if I’ll be away from home for a while. Of course, I prefer whole fresh foods as much as humanly possible, but when I’m in a pinch, these often do my body much better than the alternatives out there!
