How this 45 year old mom lost 26 pounds with us!

Hi lovely ladies!!!

I have had the pleasure of watching so many women make tremendous changes in their lives that start with shedding the layers of insecurity, doubt and shame about their bodies.

Yes, we are a “fitness” studio.  We teach you how to exercise, eat right, lose weight, fit into clothes you never thought possible, fall in love with being a women, etc. etc.  But it’s about setting a goal of doing something you never thought you could, constantly seeing that goal as a focal point for your daily actions.

A HUGE part of this process is a great support system within your immediate family while you are striving for your health & fitness goals (or any goals for that matter).

Because I am VERY close with my community of Goddesses, I know that some of them only get positive support at Venus. I also hear that they much rather be at the studio then at home. This breaks my heart BUT I am so very honored and grateful to be that support system.

So, when I’m in the studio I can’t help but brag and ooze compliments about my goddesses.  Because they deserve it. Because they are worth it.  Because they are all SO FREAKIN’ BEAUTIFUL 🙂  (I am known to have the sexiest bunch of women of all shapes, sizes and ages in my studio).

Now, meet Laurie (one of our 12 week Goddess Body Elite gals)…

Laurie is a 45 year old wife, mom and overall goal chaser. I love her ambition to set goals, work hard to accomplish them and she truly enjoys the process.

She came to us at Venus as an avid marathon runner and thrill seeker.  She was hoping to lose a few pounds and get stronger while feeling sexy in the process.

Well, those few pounds turned into a total of 26 pounds gone in just a few short months.  AND…her husband is her biggest cheerleader and fan.  He too has lost an incredible amount of weight since Laurie has started with us.

Here’s a glimpse of her transformation!

One of Laurie’s messages to me on Facebook back in July:  “I meant to also tell you this morning that while most of my inches lost have been my lower half, I don’t think I have EVER been as excited as I am this summer to wear tank tops! Even in my 20s when I was “thin”, I was skinny but never fit. I had no muscle tone at all. I was never strong.  I love getting stronger every week! In April I barely was able to squeeze out 7 “boy” push-ups which was the hardest thing ever for me. This morning…36! Yay! Also learning from you that clean eating makes all the difference! My husband has made changes too & together since April 1st, my hubby & I have lost 46 pounds and built lean muscle! Thank you! I am so happy at 45 years old I can reinvent myself!! (Not to mention, feel sexy & confident in my body for the 1st time in a long time..maybe ever)”
