How long have you been pole dancing at Venus Pole Fitness? 4 months
Have you undergone a transformation (physically, emotionally or both!)?
My transformation has been physical and emotional. I am physically stronger than I was four months ago and probably the strongest I have ever felt. I am a super picky eater and thought the transition to clean eating would be difficult but I have been pleasantly surprised at how well I have adjusted. On an emotional level I feel happier, less stressed and very empowered. By joining VPF I stepped out of my comfort zone and it has been a rewarding experience.
Did you have any previous dance or fitness training before starting pole?
Zero dance training. I did some fitness training prior to running my first half marathon.
What made you decide to take classes?
Miss Claudia, last month’s Goddess, invited me to the Sip ‘n Stretch class last February which I really enjoyed it but put off joining until the challenge that started last October.
Favorite class and why?
At the moment my favorite class is Pole Perfection. I am having so much with the routine we are working on and it is nice to work on other aspects of pole dancing besides spinning.
What is it that you LOVE about our studio?
What I love about VPF is the enthusiasm and positive attitude that Diane and all instructors possess. I like that the studio is a BS and negative attitude free zone. I am also on board with Diane’s idea of work hard (boot camp), play hard (pole classes).
Platforms, barefeet or legwarmers?
Legwarmers for Pole Perfection but stilettos for everything else
What are you currently working on technically?
Climbing and those darn over the shoulder rolls!
What are you working on artistically?
Transitioning ever so sexily

Any inspirational advice you would like to share with women who are afraid to come to start their own transformation with the program?
Women come in all shapes sizes and colors so do not worry about being judged or feeling uncomfortable. Do not fear the booty shorts and stilettos because there is a rhyme and a reason for it all. Love the woman you are, let go and enjoy because pole will be as fun as you make it. And it is most definitely a worrrrkout!
